87: The Last Episode

When do you end things?

Moving into 2022, for me, it’s when things are no longer fun.

That’s why this episode of Free Mama Radio is my last episode. (At least for now).

In this final episode, I talk about the things that keep me showing up, like my book and my wonderful friends. I also talk about the “word of the year”, a concept I have been implementing for the past couple of years, that has truly changed my life.

Please listen in to this very special episode as we say farewell to Free Mama Radio and step into the new year with new intentions and excitement.

In Today’s Episode We Discuss:

  • A Recap of changes 2021 brought
  • Sharing my word of the year for 2022
  • Letting go of the things that aren’t fun

Three years ago, on December 12, 2018, I released my book, “The Free Mama: How to Work from Home, Control Your Schedule, and Make More Money”.

Writing and releasing that book was something I felt I had to do. It was pouring out of me, and I wanted to pour into you. And I am so happy that I did.

In 2018, when I released that book, I didn’t believe in the “Word of the Year”. I thought it was a load of crap if I am being honest. But I gave it a try in 2019, starting with the word “optimize”, making sure things in my life were streamlined and I was setting myself up to grow.

2020, before I knew what would become of the world, I chose “joy”, and choosing joy was reflected in how I lived my life that whole year. Unlike for so many, last year was full of good things.

For 2021, I chose “surrender”, and I got more than I bargained for. This year I learned how to feel feelings. I have had to relinquish control more than ever before. However, I followed through on my word.

This brings me to now. Moving into 2022, I have chosen the word “fun”.

There are still lessons to be learned from this year. And I have decided to surrender at least this one more thing for the sake of fun, combining my word from this year and my word for the next, to end Free Mama Radio as we know it.

For now, we are putting it to rest, along with my Monday lives that I have been doing for four years consistently, without fail. This decision was a little bit uncomfortable to make, but if we’re not a little uncomfortable, we’re not growing.

Although this is farewell to the podcast, you can still find me over on FreeMamaTV or in the Free Mama Movement Facebook group going live from time to time. And I hope you will. I still have a lot to say, and we all still have a lot to learn.
